About us.

Purple is not your common digital marketing and design agency. We’re in the business of creative technical problem solving for our clients (SAP, Microsoft, Under Armour, Honeywell, Pepsico to name a few. #namedropping). We make sure they succeed in the experience economy.

You will be working on our product, Hyro, which is a storytelling tool that brings presentations, meetings, trainings, product reveals & interactive signage to the audience in an enticing and interactive manner.

With an easy to use CMS combined with hardware, we enable our users to tell their stories in a new, engaging and immersive way through a variety of display possibilities. You will be joining a team of ±10 devs, designers, PMs to continuously improve our product to be best the market has to offer.

What'll you do.

Your main responsibility will be ensuring the product we build works in the real world. Our product is complex as it has quite a few hardware components that can have impact on the software we build. As the QA engineer, you will check whether this is the case and communicate with the product team if things do not pass QA.

You'll be working on, and improving, many aspects of the product; improving our online documentation, create test plans, improving reliability of our existing and new installations and much more.

You’ll be responsible for meeting the agreed quality of delivery, which means zero tolerance testing results and proper follow up on testing results (e.g. bug fixes, configuration changes etc.).

You’ll be responsible for defining and producing all required templates to standardise repetitive activities (like test plans, test case formats, prerequisite checklist before testing, resolution follow-up procedure etc.).

You proactively look for ways to innovate our QA process, be this automation or other methods, and are able to implement this successfully within the product development cycles.

You’ll be the go to person for ad hoc issues that you are able to locate swiftly & communicate with the engineering team.

What you’ll need.

You are a critical thinker and have innate problem-solving skills

Proven work experience in software development

Proven work experience in software quality assurance

Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans test cases

Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

Experience in working in multidisciplinary teams

Preferably some experience in a scale-up environment
